• I love my job!

Thank you Vicky for sending me such a lovely email. You love my china as much as I do!

"I'd just like to say a massive thank you to Caroline at Tea in the Meadow. The selection of vintage china was quite frankly, awesome! I loved every single piece and wish they were mine to keep.

The order was delivered in wicker baskets, and it was like Christmas opening each parcel to see the contents.

All the guests were extremely impressed by the effect and I wouldn't hesitate to hire Caroline again to really make a party that little bit more special.

Thank you again for all of your help.

    Vicky. Basingstoke

I love your table setting! It looked a beautiful event. Thanks very much for your custom.

  • Spring is Coming!

What a long winter! We all need a light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully you have a little tea party planned or maybe a lovely summer wedding or christening! I have been very busy collecting gorgeous bits to add to my stash for just the occasion!! My 'china room' is full to the brim I am proud to say!!

I have managed to find some delicious plates for cake stands and although traditionally cake stands were only two-tier, I l think the three-tier really stand out on the table full of delicious eats!!!

Also, I have invested in some beautiful vintage embroidered traycloths and square tablecloths which would look stunning in the centre of a large circular table!

Look forward to hearing from you!

    Here's to a warm Spring!

    Kind regards

    Caroline

  • What a busy season and how creative you all are in your themes and ideas, holding such lovely parties and showing your loved ones how much you care....you are a really nice crowd!

It's been wonderful to see my china being used and enjoyed.....lots of washing up for me though but it gives me a chance to enjoy it too and saves you that chore.

The summer has only really started...or is trying hard to. Brighten up the year and hold an impromptu tea party. If you live within a 6 mile radius of New Farm, Lasham, there will be no delivery charge on hirings over £30 and why not order some lovely scones and Victoria Sandwiches too!!!

  • Think of a number

Think of a number.........2 to 152................ think of an occasion where you would like to create a special setting. Vintage China is such an easy way to add atmosphere to an event. Why even think of boring, plain, chunky crockery.

If you are thinking of a special afternoon tea, I can also make scones and cakes to save you the time, along with homemade preserves!

Start your summer early and hold an impromptu event......you never know, the sun just might come out!

    Best wishes

    Caroline

  • Welcome

Welcome to my new vintage china hire web site. This is so exciting and I cannot wait to help you choose your cups and saucers. This is such a passion of mine, maybe I'm stuck in time but there is just something so comforting and idyllic about setting up a proper afternoon tea with all the right things. Brilliant idea for Mum or Dad's 70-90th birthdays....imagine transporting them back to a time when this was all the rage..............a gramaphone record playing, the chink of china, the glug of the tea pot, the plonk plonk of the sugar cubes, the buzz of a passing bee and drone of a gypsy moth. I'm there already!!!!!
